When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. - Revelation 8:1
Silence in heaven? Of all the things I've ever imagined happening in heaven silence wasn't one of them. But here it is in Scripture. We imagine that heaven will be full of praises and songs that declare the holiness of God. But silence too can be a form of worship.
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." - Psalm 46:10
As the angels anticipated the 7 trumpet judgments they fell silent. When was the last time you fell silent before the Lord? As an expression of worship, take the next few minutes to be silent before the Lord.
