Faithful in Suffering

"This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints." Revelation 13:10

Revelation 13 portrays a day of great deception of the general masses and persecution of Christians during the reign of the beast (antichrist). To the persecuted Christians, John wrote the above call for endurance and faithfulness in the face of suffering.

We can only imagine the difficulty those days will bring and how great the need will be for Christians to hang tough in life and death circumstances. However, many of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world are enduring intense persecution even as you read these words. For them the great tribulation is now. Pray that imprisoned, enslaved, abused, and deprived Christians will be filled with "patient endurance and faithfulness." Pray that the wives and children of martyred church leaders will be filled with strength and grace. Pray that persecutors will be gloriously saved as was the case with the Apostle Paul.

Although our difficulties pale in comparision, the enemy is on the attack in our country. Pray that American Christians will live more fully surrendered to God and deeply resolved to stand faithful for the cause of the Christ at any cost.

Father, bless my persecuted brothers and sisters around the world with the strength and grace to endure in faithfulness under the most adverse circumstances. Make their faith and courage a powerful witness to their persecutors. Help me and my fellow Christians in America also to stand firm in trials and against the enemies attack to your glory.

I'm praying for you.

  1. Good Morning Pastor Matk, I will be giving a sermonette at the prison on the 2nd of Jan. The messages that the Lord has been giving you has helped me to know what direction God wants me to take. Hebrews 12:1-3 Therefore since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses....let us lay aside every weight and sin that so easily ensnares us...keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God's throne, . For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you won't grow weary and lose heart. I pray that we all receive courage from those who have suffered and is suffering for the cause of Christ. Love in Christ Francie
