"One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: 'Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.'" Acts 18:9-10
Jesus had promised, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). He reminded Paul of His promised presence as he served in the difficult city of Corinth. Jesus is always faithful to His promise. As we obey His call and share His name we can count on His presence to encourage and strengthen us for the task.
Lord Jesus, make me aware of Your faithful presence and help me to serve and witness in the power of Your presence today.
I'm praying for you.

God Bless you Pastor Mark that indeed you are strengthen through the power of God. I beleive America is looking more and more like the Corinthians. We need to seek the presence of God if we are to stay strong and not be afraid. The easy days of sharing the gospel is no more. We must depend on the power of our almighty God, so we will not be afraid but be excited for the opportunity to share His love with a dying, and disillusioned world. People have not hope but thank God we know who holds today and eternity. Be encouraged fellow believers and I'm so encouraged by you all. LOve in Christ Francie
ReplyDeleteThis scripture motivated me to write a little blog entry called "Who's in Your Network?" The cell phone ads show an entire corporate network behind every call. Jesus promises His own presence both in heaven and through the Holy Spirit to help us do His work here. We also have each other via our church and prayer to help see us through. As Francie said, God is able to strengthen us to share his Word. It's surprising how many people just want to hear it!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how God works out His plan without us being aware that He is doing it.If Aquila and Priscilla had not been ordered to leave Italy by Claudius they probably would have never met Paul. And consequently would not have ended up in Ephesus where they helped Apollos complete his conversion by teaching him about Christ.v.27b From then on he was a great help to those who believed. We must always be aware that God uses circumstances in our lives to further His kingdom.
ReplyDeleteHoly Father, Please give me the wisdom to realize the work You are doing through me is for Your glory and not mine.I know You can use the good and bad times in My life to help someone else.I ask for the courage to answer"Here I am" when You call.
His kingdom.
Yes, wasn't that exciting to see that Apollos got discipled before he went out to do more for the Lord! I noticed that this time and never had before.
