"So then just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord continue to live in him." Colossians 2:6
Jesus is Lord! To receive Him is to receive Him as Lord over our life. To live in Him is to live with Him as Lord over all of our being and doing. As we received Him so we must live in Him.
To call Jesus Lord is one thing but to live under His Lordship daily is another. He asked some, "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I say?" (Luke 6:46). Let's endeavor daily to bring our whole life into harmony with our confession of Jesus as Lord.
Father, I want Jesus to be Lord indeed of my whole life today. Help me to bring my daily living into harmony with my confession.
I'm praying for you.

ReplyDeleteIf we are true believers then Christ should live in us(Gal. 2:20).Jesus didn't just come to show us the way,feed us the bread,or tell us the truth.He doesn,t just offer these things,HE is these things!Since this is the case,we shouldn't be asking Him to help us live our lives but asking Him to live His life more profoundly in our lives.He should be in the depths of our hearts asking us to get our junk out of His way.We cannot know the Father or get to heaven by Him showing us the way,HE must take us there.
Holy Father, no one compares to Your glory.You are amazing!! I pray that I could be more transparent.When the world looks at me they won't see me but a reflection of Christ living His life in me.I have been crucified, He is alive.
