Judging Me

"Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let's stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall." Romans 14:12-13 NLT

Why is it so much easier for us to judge other people than to judge our self? We can quickly see and condemn what we believe to be short comings in the lives of our fellow Christians but we are blind to our own faults. Yet when we stand before God we will not give an account of our neighbor's life but rather we will "give a personal account" of our own life to God. Our time is much better spent easing up on our neighbor and examining our self more closely to ensure we are ready to stand before God with confidence. No one will arrive at perfection but God will judge with grace the life lived in pursuit of pleasing Him.

Father, help me to judge myself correctly in Your light so that I may be prepared to give an account and hear You say "Well done!"
