God's Deep Secrets

"And God has actually given us his Spirit (not the world's spirit0 so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us." 1 Corinthians 2:12 NLT

The Spirit reveals "God's deep secrets" (2:10 NLT) to His people. God desires us to know Him, to know His ways, to know His purpose for us, and to know "the wonderful things God has freely given us." In order for us to know these things God has given us His Spirit to reside with us and reveal to us the "deep secrets" of God which the world can never know but are revealed to us as His children (see 2:14).

Wow!!! Let this sink in. God has "deep secrets" and "wonderful things" that He wants to let You in on! He is ready to reveal these things by His Spirit to those who come to Him with attentive minds through prayer and Scripture. May we be like Mary of Bethany who "sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he taught" (Luke 10:39 NLT).

Father, I am truly amazed that You, the God of the universe, desire to reveal to me "deep secrets" and "wonderful things." Thank You for giving me Your Spirit to reveal these things. Give me an attentive mind and heart to receive these things today.
