"Many who became believers confessed their sinful practices. A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their incantation books and burned them at a public bonfire. The value of the books was several million dollars. So the message about the Lord spread widely and had a powerful effect." Acts 19:18-20 NLT
We may forget the just how powerful and life-transforming the gospel is. Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile" (Romans 1:16). We need to remember and embrace the life-changing power of the gospel for our life and share it with others so they too can experience its power.
Father, I thank you for the life-changing message of Jesus. As I continue to believe may it continue to alter my life from sinful practices to holiness. As I share it with others may they come to believe and experience its power also.
I'm praying for you.

Good Morning Pastor Mark, I know that is why I love going into the Jails and Prisons, because I get to witness the powerful effect of the gospel of Jesus Christ on the lives of people that have lost hope. Our Heavenly Father and Creator loves us so much that He sent His only Son to deliver us from captivity. Oh how humbled I am to set in the audience and watch our Father do what He wants to do, (2 Co. 5:18-20 Now everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconcilation: that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconcilation to us.)
